Wells Gray Park Full-Day Guided Tour 

Departure: 8:00 AM from Clearwater, BC Return: Approximately 4 PM

8:00 AM – Departure from Clearwater Meet your guide in Clearwater and set off for an unforgettable day in Wells Gray Provincial Park. As you drive along Clearwater Valley Road, keep an eye out for wildlife such as black bears, moose, and bald eagles.

8:30 AM – Spahats Falls (Short Walk: 10 minutes each way) Your first stop is Spahats Falls, a dramatic 75-meter waterfall plunging into a deep canyon. A short walk through the forest leads to a stunning viewpoint overlooking the falls and the Clearwater River far below. Your guide will share insights into the park’s volcanic geology that shaped this breathtaking landscape.

9:15 AM – Scenic Drive through the Park Enjoy a leisurely drive deeper into the park, taking in the towering forests and stopping for photo opportunities along the way.

9:45 AM – Dawson Falls (Easy Walk: 15 minutes each way) Arriving at Dawson Falls, you’ll take a short forest trail to witness this wide, cascading waterfall, often compared to a mini Niagara Falls. The Murtle River tumbles over a 90-meter-wide lava bed, creating an impressive natural spectacle.

10:30 AM – Helmcken Falls – The Icon of Wells Gray (5-minute walk to viewing platform) A true highlight of Wells Gray, Helmcken Falls plunges a jaw-dropping 141 meters into a misty canyon. Spend time soaking in the incredible view and learning about the powerful forces of erosion that carved this dramatic landscape over thousands of years.

11:15 AM – Break & Picnic Lunch at a Scenic Spot Recharge with a delicious picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic viewpoints. Take in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature.

12:30 PM – Moul Falls – A Thrilling 2.5-Hour Hike (5.8 km round trip) After lunch, gear up for an immersive 2.5-hour adventure to Moul Falls. The moderate hike winds through dense forest, gradually descending toward the falls. Once you reach the viewing area, take in the stunning sight of water cascading over a basalt ledge. For the adventurous, follow the short but steep trail down to the base—and even walk behind the falls! Feel the powerful mist and enjoy a rare, up-close waterfall experience. Your guide will ensure plenty of time to relax, take photos, and enjoy this magical spot before the hike back.

3:30 PM – Triple Decker Falls – A Hidden Gem (Moderate Hike: 45 minutes round trip) Your final waterfall stop is Triple Decker Falls, a lesser-known but incredibly picturesque spot deep in the forest. Named for its three-tiered cascade, this waterfall offers a peaceful escape with fewer crowds. Enjoy the serenity of the lush surroundings before heading back.

4:30 PM – Drive Back to Clearwater After a full day of adventure, sit back and enjoy the drive back to Clearwater, watching for wildlife and stopping for any last photo opportunities.  – Arrival in Clearwater Your guide will drop you off at your original meeting point, concluding an unforgettable journey through Wells Gray Provincial Park!
