At Yellowhead Adventure Company, we are passionate about providing interpretive and authentic sightseeing experiences to our customers. Our journey began in 1984 when our founder, Dennis Greffard took his first snowshoe trip up the Trophy Mountains with Ida DeKelver, his grandmother. A love for the area and a passion to show it off was born.

Our team is made up of experienced, local, and knowledgeable tour guides who are passionate about sharing their love for travel and adventure. We believe that our customers deserve the best experience possible, and that's why we only hire the best talent. Get to know us better and join us on our journey!

At Yellowhead Adventure Company, we believe in responsible and sustainable tourism. We strive to minimize our impact on the environment and support local communities. We also believe in diversity, equality, and inclusion, and welcome customers from all backgrounds and cultures.

My connection to Wells Gray Park began long before Yellowhead Adventures was ever an idea.
At twelve years old, I spent my first night in the Wells Gray backcountry alongside my grandmother in a small A-frame plywood cabin deep in the Trophy Mountains. As part of her work measuring snowpack and water content for the government, she regularly traveled into the backcountry to collect important data that helped forecast water supplies throughout the province.
For a young boy, spending the night in a remote mountain cabin surrounded by wilderness was an unforgettable experience. It sparked a lifelong appreciation for the landscapes, wildlife, and stories that make Wells Gray Park such a special place.
That connection runs even deeper through my family history. Members of my family have spent generations living, working, and guiding in the Wells Gray and Trophy Mountain region. Their involvement has included shepherding, guiding visitors through the backcountry, and helping preserve and share the area's rich history.
My grandmother also founded the Yellowhead Museum, helping ensure that the stories of the North Thompson Valley would be preserved for future generations.
Today, I continue that tradition by sharing the region with visitors from around the world.
When you join a Yellowhead Adventures tour, you're not simply visiting waterfalls and viewpoints.
You're exploring a landscape that has been part of my family's story for generations.
Along the way, you'll learn about:
As a long-time Clearwater resident, business owner, former municipal councillor, community volunteer, and outdoor enthusiast, I've spent decades exploring and advocating for this region.
I know the famous attractions that every visitor should see, but I also enjoy sharing the lesser-known stories, viewpoints, and hidden gems that many travelers miss.
My goal is simple: to help visitors experience Wells Gray Park not just as a destination, but as a place with a rich history, remarkable landscapes, and stories that deserve to be shared.
Whether you're visiting for a few hours or several days, I look forward to helping you discover what makes this corner of British Columbia so special.
